Yup, I ran my first race.  Glad to have the first one over.... Now I know that I can run others!!  Sign me up!  Matthew said that I hardly broke a sweat.  I guess I need to kick it up a notch next time.

CONGRATULATIONS on your first race! That is a great time for hardly breaking a sweat! AWESOME!!! :)

I see more PRs coming your way! So when/what will the next race be?!!! :)

Thanks Smooth... My next race, I am not sure yet... Running a first is the hardest, I needed to get my nerve up and now I now what to expect. I am sure Matthew will talk me into it again. But this time he won't have to twist my arm as much. He has been wanting me to run races with him many times before today. We were picking up Matthew's packet on Saturday for the 10K and saw the registration table. He asked if I wanted to do it. I was still unsure. It is a lot of work!! And kind of scary at the same time. (At least for me. I am a whimp!) He said just do it. So I signed up. I did have a great time, and now I know that I can do it and run the entire thing without stopping!!!

Ha! Matt knows what he was doing when he took you to the packet pick up and signed you up right there! :)

I am so glad you did. That first step like anything else is the hardest. I'd say majority of the runners are nervous nellies no matter how many races they've done. You are NOT wimp. I am so PROUD of you! That is a huge accomplishment!!! :)

SO HAPPY that you finally discover for yourself (everyone knows all along) that you can do it and run the entire 10K without stopping AND you hardly broke a sweat! :)

Hope to run with you sometime! Hope you are celebrating your first great race now! :)
